Welcome to the North Fork’s next landmark for learning.
Embark on an exciting new journey with Peconic Community School as we create a vibrant hub of learning, creativity and community in the heart of downtown Cutchogue.
Peconic Community School is launching an ambitious capital campaign to fund the purchase and revitalization of the former Sacred Heart Parish property at 27685 Main Road to create a Campus for Cutchogue: a child-centered arts and cultural hub for the East End and much-needed permanent home for PCS.
Our multi-phased vision for the property includes plans for:
reimagined indoor and outdoor learning and play spaces,
a performing arts center in the historic church building,
a community art studio and maker space in the former carriage house, and
public walking trails on the 10+ acres of surrounding wooded land.
With your generosity, a Campus for Cutchogue will breathe new life into this historic property, creating a dynamic landmark in the heart of downtown that honors the property’s heritage and inspires future generations of students, friends, neighbors and grandchildren to learn, serve, preserve and create.
The next big dream for this little school.
A CAMPUS FOR CUTCHOGUE
Peconic Community School has always been a little school with big dreams. Starting with nine students, one teacher and a big dream to make the world a better place, founders Liz Casey and Kathryn Casey Quigley set out in 2012 to open a school that would change children’s lives and make a meaningful impact on the community. Living true to this mission for over a decade, Peconic Community School has grown into a beacon of child-centered, community-minded education on the North Fork with nearly 100 students, 25 faculty and staff, and a stellar reputation for offering uniquely progressive, learner-driven and community integrated education to students from age 3 through Grade 8.
Today, with your support, PCS is poised to establish a new landmark for learning on the North Fork, a home for Peconic Community School that will allow us to grow and evolve to our full potential.
A Campus for Cutchogue is so much more than a school building: it’s a way to reimagine how a campus can serve an entire community. With revitalized learning spaces, a performing arts center, community art studio and public walking trails, Peconic Community School will become a place where people of all ages can gather to learn, create and connect.
With your support for this project, you help to build not just a school, but a vibrant center of lifelong learning and community engagement that will enrich Cutchogue for generations to come.
MAPPING A NEW FUTURE FOR A HISTORIC PROPERTY
PRESERVE
The acres of undeveloped land on our new campus are a precious resource – one we’re committed to protecting and preserving for future generations. Your contribution will help us cultivate and maintain outdoor natural learning spaces and public hiking trails, creating opportunities for outdoor education and recreation. By supporting our environmental stewardship initiatives, you’re not just conserving land; you’re nurturing a deep connection between students, our community and the natural world. You can help us turn this green space into a living classroom and a community treasure.
Stewarding a Historic Property into the Future
CREATE
A Campus for Cutchogue
So much more than a school, PCS’s new campus is the North Fork’s next landmark. Our multiphase vision for the property includes plans to: purchase and preserve the historic church building as a new and vital community performance space, transform the carriage house into a community art studio, and update the existing school and rectory buildings to create new indoor and outdoor learning spaces for expanded program offerings. Together with your support, we can create an unparalleled child-centered destination where education, arts and community converge in the heart of the North Fork.
LEARN
PCS’s uniquely student-centered, place-based and community-integrated academic approach is at the heart of our initiative to create a campus for Cutchogue. Learning at PCS is life-changing. Together we can open a new door to learning for children on the North Fork. With your support, PCS can purchase and renovate a permanent home for our school in the midst of a community campus, with added opportunities for community involvement and expanded programming for local children.
A Transformative Education for a Better World
SERVE
True education extends beyond the classroom walls. PCS curriculum deeply engages students in the local community through learning partnerships, community action projects, and extensive field work. By supporting PCS’s community action initiatives, you’re investing in the development of compassionate, engaged citizens who are equipped to make meaningful contributions to the North Fork and the world beyond. Your support of our capital campaign also ensures that this unique, community-integrated education remains accessible to families from all backgrounds through scholarship opportunities.
