Maker Halloween

Welcome to the 1st (annual?) PCS Maker Halloween Parade!

What to do when our annual all-school Halloween pumpkin and apple picking trip to the Milk Pail is postponed due to a rainy forecast? An impromptu, surprise all-school MAKER HALLOWEEN PARADE of course!
Students were thrilled to find out this morning that they could make Halloween costumes for a surprise parade around the school! The Maker Challenge: use materials from the community room and complete the look by 2:15 pm.
We had SO. MUCH. FUN. We used fabric, wire, cardboard, plastic, yarn, recyclables, paper, glue, thread, string and anything else we could get our hands on, to make: mermaids, dragons, crocodiles, knights, queens, rocks, wizards, book characters, police officers, Greek gods, salsa and a chip, wolves, vampires and even a radio control tower. So scrappy. So creative. So improvised. So good.

Sometimes a mis-forecasted rainy Halloween is cause for celebration!
