WELCOME TO PECONIC COMMUNITY SUMMER!
8 Weeks of Nature-Centered, Hands-On and Arts-Infused Summer experiences on the North Fork of Long Island for children ages 3 through Grade 4!
In a world that often rushes a tech-laden childhood, PCSummer offers something increasingly rare: the gift of an unhurried, meaningful summer.
PCSummer is a thoughtfully crafted, eight-week outdoor maker program for children ages 3 through Grade 4, rooted in the philosophy of Peconic Community School — one of the East End's most respected progressive schools. Set on a 10-acre campus in downtown Cutchogue, children spend their days outside exploring the natural world, making things with their hands, and engaging in the kind of hands-on discovery that defines a well-spent summer.
Children in Kindergarten through Grade 4 move through a weekly rotation of electives taught by genuine community experts — practitioners who bring real knowledge, passion, and skill to their work with children. The lineup includes gardening, crochet, floral art, sports, an outdoor clay studio, and a weekly Maker Lab. Younger children follow a nature-centered daily rhythm of outdoor play, sensory exploration, and small wonders. Days are structured enough to feel purposeful and open enough to feel genuinely free.
