Feed-a-Kid at CAST

PCS 2nd graders lent a helping hand at CAST in Southold, volunteering with the Feed-A-Kid program. During school closures and breaks, CAST provides healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks for children who rely on free or reduced-price meals at school. PCS 2nd graders made more than 150 packages to help keep local children food secure this winter and learned valuable lessons about food insecurity, community action and empathy during this service learning experience. PCS is so grateful to CAST for the important work they do and for giving us the opportunity to play a small part in their vital mission.
