You’re cordially invited to an art gallery opening at Floyd Memorial Library — Passing the Brush: Feminist Art NOW — that is co-curated by Peconic Community School eighth grader Hannah Quigley and Floyd Memorial gallerist Sally Grant.
Passing the Brush: Feminist Art NOW (3/28 - 5/11) features artworks by several established artists as well as works by younger, emerging artists. The title reflects a central theme of the exhibition, which highlights the power and possibilities of women and girls supporting, and learning from, each other.
Wine and cheese will be served at the show’s opening reception on Friday, March 28, from 6-8pm.
