This spring, we mark a milestone — our 5th Annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day. Grandparents are a cherished and familiar presence in our hallways and classrooms, and after five years, this tradition has become one of the most beloved on our school calendar.

On Friday, May 1st, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, we warmly invite grandparents and special friends to join us at Peconic Community School for a morning designed with them in mind.

As they arrive, guests will be welcomed with refreshments and have the chance to meet other grandparents and special friends, before stepping into their grandchild's classroom to get a glimpse of their school day — the work they're proud of, the friends they laugh with, and the community they belong to.

We are also delighted to welcome back Brooklyn Ballet, who joined us so memorably last year. Once again, they will bring live performances and workshops for students and family — a joyful, shared experience that brings generations together in a truly special way.

We hope grandparents and special friends can join us. Their presence means the world to their grandchildren and to our entire school community.
