CALLING ALL EXPLORERS AND ADVENTURERS FOR A WEEK OF HANDS-ON OUTDOOR SKILL-BUILDING!
Peconic Community School will offer a new week-long summer program for students ages 7 to 11. Led by Courtney Hall, a local certified herbalist, this immersive program takes young explorers across our 10+ acre campus for a full week outside, learning practical skills they can carry with them while building confidence, curiosity, and a closer relationship with the natural world.
Through guided, hands-on activities, participants learn to find direction using the sun and shadows, build simple shelters, gather firewood safely, and practice the basics of first aid. The week also includes scavenger hunts and team challenges that ask kids to slow down, work together, and put their new skills to use. Along the way, they grow more comfortable outside, more attentive to what's around them, and more capable of taking care of themselves and one another.
DATES: AUGUST 10TH - AUGUST 14TH
HOURS: 9AM - 3PM
AGES: 7 - 11
TUITION: $750
