Monday, July 14, 1pm - 4pm

Maximum 12 students (minimum 6 enrollments to run the class)

In this class, kids will learn how to navigate using maps and compasses while exploring trails and natural habitats. Along the way, they’ll discover the basics of birdwatching—how to spot and identify local birds by sight and sound. It’s a fun, hands-on adventure that builds observation skills, a sense of direction, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Tuesday, July 15, 1pm - 4pm

Maximum 12 students (minimum 6 enrollments to run the class)

Dive into the culinary world as we embark on an interactive journey of planning and organizing a delicious meal together using local, seasonal ingredients. Our hands-on approach ensures that children actively participate in every step of the cooking process, from ingredient selection to final presentation. Through this immersive experience, we aim to instill valuable life skills and empower kids by fostering independence in the kitchen that will benefit them for years to come.

Art in the Garden at Landcraft Garden Foundation, Mattituck

Wednesday, July 16, 1pm - 4pm

Maximum 12 students (minimum 6 enrollments to run the class)

Step into the peaceful beauty of Landcraft Garden Foundation and explore the art of creating flower mandalas—a calming and creative activity enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Using petals, leaves, and other natural materials gathered from the grounds, participants are invited to design intricate mandalas right in the garden. This meditative process not only sparks creativity but also deepens one’s connection to nature. As you wander the gardens, take time to explore the vibrant landscape and gather inspiration from the colors, shapes, and textures of the plants around you.

Beginner Crochet with Noelle of Welly Crochet

Thursday, June 17, 1pm - 4pm

Maximum 12 students (minimum 6 enrollments to run the class)

Students will gain skills in reading patterns for projects they may want to tackle outside the classroom. The first few sessions focus on mastering basic stitches and proper hand posture. Once students have built a solid foundation, they’re free to work on projects of their choice—like plush animals or wearable items—with Noelle’s expert guidance. Her supportive approach empowers kids to let their creativity flow while developing a lifelong skill.

Theater and Improv with Brian Quillin

Friday, June 18, 1pm - 4pm

Maximum 12 students (minimum 6 enrollments to run the class)

Children will dive into the exciting world of theater by exploring stage terminology, the role of an audience member, and the art of performing. Through engaging drama games, they will enhance their communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, while building confidence and teamwork. Our activities will focus on voice projection, articulation, improvisation, and persuasive speech. As a group, we'll use drama to express our individuality and strengthen our sense of community, making each session a creative and collaborative experience.
